We started with outdoor living spaces, then, after realizing the amount of planning and attention to detail on outdoor projects, our clients began requesting we work on their interior projects. We realized it’s not the scope of work that defined our company. What keeps clients coming back is the way we communicate, manage, and perform on our projects. We believe remodeling is about making your home feel better for the way you live. We truly want to make your home your destination. Whether that’s a remodeled space for hosting family dinners or a back patio you actually enjoy using to entertain. We want to build it right, per building codes & industry standards, so it lasts for years to come. We don’t come out to your home to give you a bid, we come out to listen to you share your vision and help you bring that vision to life through our process. About the Owner
Travis Jones began his construction career working for his father’s commercial subcontracting company over summers while in High School, then began full time in 2001. After 7 years working with his tools in various interior / exterior scopes, he moved into the office as an estimator & project manager. Along the way he started up the company’s (and at that time, Oklahoma’s only) in-house apprenticeship program. Near the end of his time with the company he became the Director of Prefabrication for the new prefab division of the company (see Travis far right in the group pic).
In 2020 Travis & his wife April decided to invest in a space where they spent the most time together, their patio. Other than a place to wind down in the evenings, it would also serve to entertain friends & family. Travis, and even his wife & kids at times, worked on the build after hours & weekends. After realizing how much this space made a difference for them, it was the beginning of an idea.
In 2022, after over 20 years of working with the family business, Travis decided it was time to start his own journey. Craftsman Contracting & Design was created with a passion for designing and building custom entertainment spaces so others could enjoy a space at their own home as much as they did. ​
